PackTheMove is a small, independent website of practical packing and moving guides.

Moving is stressful enough without having to wade through pages of filler to find out how to wrap a plate. Our goal is simple: short, accurate, step-by-step guides that help you pack things so they arrive in one piece.

Who runs this site

PackTheMove is a small, independent guide run by David Del Duca. David works in the packaging supplies industry, where he deals with pallets and stretch film every day, so he's seen firsthand what keeps things safe in transit and what lets them get damaged. He started this site to give people moving house plain, honest packing steps that actually work, without the sales pitch.

How we work

• We are not a moving company and we don't sell moving services.
• Our guides are built from hands-on packing experience, manufacturers' own handling instructions, and careful research. Where we rely on a source, we link to it.
• When we give numbers (like how many boxes you need), we label them as rules of thumb and explain the reasoning.
• We don't accept payment to recommend products. If a link earns us money, it's labeled. See our affiliate disclosure.
